Last year, Alisa offered to give my son (who has developmental delays) a puppy she had trained. Doc has been an amazing addition to our family and is now an emotional support animal. If I have any questions or concerns, I text Alisa, and she immediately offers suggestions/guidance. We live in a condo, and our neighbors are always commenting on how well-behaved Doc is because he does not bark or jump on people.

On top of that, they are both certified therapy pets through Love on a Leash, spreading joy and comfort everywhere they go. What makes Alisa the perfect trainer is that she is a true perfectionist. She notices every detail and never cuts corners, which is exactly why her dogs are so successful and well-rounded. If she feels a dog isn’t absolutely perfect before going home, she’ll gladly keep the dog longer to make sure everything is just right. That kind of dedication is rare, and it shows in every single dog she trains. Not only is Alisa an incredible trainer, but she is also a wonderful friend—the kind of person who will do anything for anybody. On top of that, her training facility is spotless, beautifully maintained, and welcoming. You can tell the moment you walk in that she takes pride not only in her dogs and her work, but in the environment she provides as well. Alisa has a true gift for bringing out the best in dogs. I have used Lake Cumberland K-9 Training Center for all my training needs for 9 years. I have nothing to say except praises! The facilities are immaculate and clean! Alisa is meticulous in making sure all the dogs have their shots, in order to keep all the dogs as safe and healthy as possible. She communicates daily with potty and training boards. Videos are posted daily! I am 100% positive that the dogs are well taken care of and treated with love. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

We had a wonderful experience with lake Cumberland k9 training center. We sent our dog crimson there for the 3 week training. We was mostly concerned about being potty trained. We got her back after the first 3 weeks and she was good on her commands but was still having accidents in the house. The owner offered to take her back at no extra charge because her work is guaranteed. We got her back after several weeks and she is now a different dog! She is totally potty trained, doesn’t nip/bite play, listens to her commands, ect. She is perfect now! I can’t thank Alisa enough for not giving up on our girl! She does keep her word and DOES guarantee her work! Thank you so much Alisa!

My German Shepherd stays with Alisa while I’m at work 9 days every month. He’s attended boot camp and she trains him frequently. Always excellent. I trust Alisa and Art with all of Jupiter’s needs. They care about my dog. I live in NC and I actually drive him the 8 hours round trip to leave him here whenever we go on vacation. I just don’t trust anyone else.

First, let me say we are extremely happy with Alisa and the Lake Cumberland K9 Training Center. Our dog Tesha was a rescue from our local shelter, and we didn’t have a clue as to her past life. Hounds are stubborn and Tesha is somewhere between one and two years old. She had spent at least 6 months in the shelter, and we rescued her 24 hours before she was to be euthanized. We are big believers in adopting from your local shelter! With that said, we were skeptical that she could be trained as she was a handful for us to deal with before a friend recommended Lake Cumberland K9 Training Center. Tesha was the alpha from the moment she moved in, jumping on people, was food aggressive, crate aggressive and ruled the house. She even nipped at me as well as my neighbor, breaking the skin both times. After training with Alisa and her staff, we now have a sweet, well-behaved dog. The change in her is amazing. She had the attitude of a puppy who thought she could get away with about anything and now have a dog that acts like an adult, obeying the commands she was taught. Jumping, crate aggression and food aggression are no longer part of her vocabulary! When we picked her up, we went through an hour or more of training as Tesha’s parents. As Alisa told us, we are continuing the training we were taught as part of her daily regimen. Don’t think you can bring your dog home and forget what you are taught as dog parents. We work with her during her daily activities to insure she will continue to be a responsible fur baby that we love so much! The before and after with Tesha is amazing! We can’t thank Alisa and her staff enough for the changes in our sweet girl!
